Businesses celebrate the patron saint of Wales

Although there are not many high street businesses open at the moment, it was very pleasing to see a number of them decorating their windows to celebrate our patron saint’s day.
St David’s Day window competitions are held annually by Menter Iaith Sir Ddinbych, with the help of town councils in Rhuddlan, Denbigh and Ruthin.
The winners this year were as follows:
Denbigh:
1st Reebies Flower Shop, 2nd Royles Pharmacy, Joint 3rd Costellos Flower Shop and Tony Griffiths Photography Shop
Ruthin:
1st State of Distress, 2nd Ruthin Wholefoods, 3rd Fineline
Rhuddlan:
1af The Little Cheesemonger, 2il Hazel Court
1st The Little Cheesemonger, 2nd Hazel Court
Iorwen Jones from Menter Iaith Sir Ddinbych said “a huge ‘diolch’ to all the businesses for taking part and for helping to cheer up the high street during this challenging time.”
Photographs of participating windows and other St.David’s Day activities can be found on the Menter Iaith Denbighshire facebook page here.
